Everyone must have a moment at one point or another when looking at postcards that arrive from your friends, traveling magazines or stunning calendar photos you just think to yourself… nah, it must be photoshopped.
Before going to places Thailand for the first time back in 2009 and New Zealand in 2012 I thought that on several different occasions.
Check this out though…
You’ve seen it before right?
One of the most picturesque, beautifully turquoise and golden coloured places in Thailand – The Maya Bay on Koh Phi Phi Leh, where one of the wannabe backpackers must see movies – The Beach was filmed.
The Maya Bay on Phi Phi Island and in fact most of the Thai islands whether those on the Andaman Sea or in The Guf of Thailand are just like that… Picture perfect and so stunningly beautiful in their landscape and colours that no major photography skills are needed and definitely no photoshop was involved in this picture either.
The trick is though, especially in those more commercialised and full of tourist places, to either go when most of the tourists are still fast asleep (read: stupid early in the morning) or find the right angle, where you can snap an amazing postcard like picture without having to worry about strangers photobombing your travelling memory.
